Dying Consciously
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life. For death and life are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
Overview
Death is the ultimate journey of transition and a powerful point of transformation, not just for the person that is journeying onwards, but for all those involved in the dying process: the individual, family members, and friends.
Death is not a topic that most people want to acknowledge, much less discuss. Understanding death and allowing it to become like a dialogue with a lover allows us to be fully alive.
The Great Death Rites practiced by historic traditions allow us to understand the kind of psychological, emotional and energetic closure needed. They provide specific steps to bring reconciliation and healing both to the loved ones and to the person dying.
These practices do not only apply to death of the physical body. At this time, numerous places around the world are experiencing the death of old paradigms, structures and maps - in governments, economics, health care, housing, religion, and politics. This death is necessary and natural to create space for the birthing of a new paradigm.
We are dreaming the world into being. If we clear those places where we are stalked by death - releasing the death that is part of our genetic makeup, our karmic story and let go of old stories and unfinished business - we can be fully present and awake while we dream, and we can dream a new world unconstrained by the past stories and limitations!
What will we be doing?
In this weekend workshop we will explore and experience the steps of the dying consciously process and learn how to facilitate those that are taking this greatest of journeys.
- Creating a sacred space to support those in transition
- Understanding the luminous body and its function in death
- Facilitating the release of trauma and heavy energy
- Reconciliation and forgiveness
- Creating comfort for those in transition with the process of leaving their body
- Facilitating the last moments of death
- After the last breath has been taken
- The role of ceremony and ritual
This transformational workshop is designed for anyone that is working with people that are transitioning or would like to explore the subject for themselves.
Feedback from Participants
It felt like I had come home and was remembering things that I had forgotten with my body. It was eye-opening that my mind was not the centre of my remembering.
A deep and long journey of change, physically and energetically - an amazing circle of letting go of the old and a renewal of the self.
