Fire allows for rapid transformation. It provides the avenue to let go of the old story and drama, to transform, to renew and to be reborn. Through fire ceremony, you honor your lessons and old belief structures by placing them in the fire and turning them over to Spirit. By releasing these old patterns and beliefs into the fire, you heal deeply at the level of the soul without having to experience them at the literal and physical levels.
To be in ceremony is to connect to the depths of our being, we side-step our mind and work directly with Spirit. Fire ceremony, one of the core ceremonies in many medicine traditions, is typically held around the full or new moon of each month when the veils between the worlds are the thinnest. We step into the sacred so that we may source from our soul and re-remember how we have sat around sacred fires throughout time.
At the fire we surrender the pain, the stories, the old patterns and ways of being, we honour and give thanks for our journey, we claim ourselves and our gifts, and through the alchemy of the fire we step away changed.
This can be an incredibly powerful process with the unravelling and transformation of the fire usually continuing for the following 2 weeks, creating opportunities to step into a new way of life.
A Despacho is a colourful medicine bundle that's created in sacred ceremony and infused with our prayers, energy and intent; bringing us into Ayni with ourselves and the world.
The Despacho is constructed out of various burnable items such as seeds, rice, beans, herbs, flowers, chocolate, biscuits and even gummy bears! Each item is placed with gratitude and intent, layer upon layer, creating an image of the world. On top of this people are invited to place their prayers and wishes.
During the fire ceremony we give the Despacho into the flames, fueling and transforming, taking our prayers so they can manifest.
The next fire ceremony will be held in TBC (Suffolk) on 21st Dec 2018 @ 7pm
